About the university

Consistently in the top four in the UK for overall average international student satisfaction (International Student Barometer 2008-10) Teesside University has a rich past which spans over 80 years. It dates back to 1929 with the opening of Constantine College and finally becoming a university in 1992. It has since been named University of the Year (Times Higher Education Awards 2009), Outstanding Employer Engagement Initiative (Times Higher Education Awards 2009) and was a finalist for the Times Higher Education Entrepreneurial University of the Year Award 2010. It has invested £130 million on its friendly town campus at the heart of Middlesbrough and has an international reputation for excellence in enterprise.

King Edward’s Square

King Edward's Square is set around a central garden right on campus. The 15 houses are close to the University entrance - handy for lectures, the library and the Students' Union as well as the town centre.

Woodlands Halls

£90 per week – single room with en suite

Woodlands halls offers en-suite accommodation for those who want their own private bathroom facilities.

There are seven individual halls grouped together as a community with 36 students in each. Within each hall you are grouped in smaller clusters of six and share cooking and dining facilities.

Parkside Hall

£77 per week – single room with washbasin

£52.50 per week – double room with washbasin, sharing

Parkside hall is set on the southern edge of the campus facing Middlesbrough's town park - Albert Park. It has single main entrance leading to all rooms and has 24 hour caretaking cover.

Parkside houses and flats are on the southern edge of the campus close to Middlesbrough's town park - Albert Park.
